This series is inspired by the creations of the ancient Hopewell Culture which created and buried effigies of hands in their mound graves as a way to connect the spirit world with the living world.

Each copper hand is unique and selectively embellished, in this case with a textured copper with vintage cone brass bead and turquoise gemstone bead charm. This hand was forged, textured and finished with a rustic patina that is sealed for a stable finish. The copper chain is 31” long. The disk and hand height measures 2 1/2” tall with the hand 7/8” wide. This light weight necklace can compliment any outfit, from casual to dressy.
