This series is inspired by the creations of the ancient Hopewell Culture which created and buried effigies of hands in their mound graves as a way to connect the spirit world with the living world.

Each copper hand is unique and selectively embellished, in this case with a beautiful African Turquoise Jasper gemstone bead and an ancient crinoid fossil charm accented with a turquoise gemstone bead. and a medium sized forged hand. This hand was forged, textured and finished with a rustic patina that is sealed for a stable finish. The hand braided satin cord drop is 30” with a unique hand forged clasp and intricate end caps in pure copper. The hand is about 2 ½ “ tall and 1 1/4” wide. This light weight necklace can compliment any outfit, from casual to dressy.
