This series is inspired by the creations of the ancient Hopewell Culture which created and buried effigies of hands in their mound graves as a way to connect the spirit world with the living world.

Each copper hand is unique and selectively embellished, in this case with a beautiful torched and forged domed disk above, and a medium sized forged hand with turquoise gemstone bead charm and textured copper ring. This hand was forged, textured and finished with a rustic patina that is sealed for a stable finish. The copper link chain is 31” long. The disk and measures 3 1/2” in height; the disk is 1 2/4” wide; the hand is 1 1/4” wide. This light weight necklace can compliment any outfit, from casual to dressy.
