This series is inspired by the creations of the ancient Hopewell Culture which created and buried effigies of hands in their mound graves as a way to connect the spirit world with the living world.

Each copper hand is unique and selectively embellished, in this case with three turquoise gemstone beads and metal bead charm, and a textured copper ring. This hand was forged, textured and finished with a rustic patina that is sealed for a stable finish. The copper chain is 28” long (can easily be shortened). The hand measures 1 1/2” tall and 7/8” wide. This light weight necklace can compliment any outfit, from casual to dressy.
